This technique involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the body's natural healing response. Book a session today to experience the benefits of acupuncture. Reiki & Shamanic Healing Sessions are also available.
Deanna will be seeing clients at Olive Tree Mondays and Wednesdays 9-6.

Deanna Slate Stennett, L.Ac., MA
Georgia Composite Medical Board License #499

Deanna Slate Stennett is a Georgia Licensed Acupuncturist with 35 years of experience. She attended the Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture in Miami, Florida. The school has changed names and hands and moved cities since she graduated, it is now called the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture and is in Gainesville, Florida. Deanna moved to Maryland in 1995 where she did most of her career in Acupuncture. In 1999 she began teaching at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in their acupuncture program. She was a clinical supervisor and didactic instructor for 20 years, while running her full-time practice in Crofton and Annapolis.
In 2014, Deanna graduated from MUIH’s Master’s program in Transformative Leadership and Social Change. This program taught her about communication, team building, and thinking outside the box. Her thesis became a published book called, Poetry of the Body: Stories About Acupuncture Points. The book talks about the spirits of acupuncture points and patient experiences as well as personal experiences. It is written for the layperson and is available on Amazon.
Deanna learned about Shamanism in Acupuncture school and has created and taught many weekend workshops in shamanism as well as 8 two-year programs in advanced shamanism. While many people think that shamanism comes from Native American spirituality, it is actually found in every single ancestry around the world, and the word shaman is in fact from Siberia. Deanna has studied with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Sandra Ingerman, author of Soul Retrieval and Medicine for the Earth: How to Heal Personal and Environmental Toxins, Tom Cowan, author of Fire in the Head: Shamanism and the Celtic Spirit, and Shamanism as a Spiritual Path for Daily Life, Eliot Cowan, author of Plant Spirit Medicine.
Deanna has used her work from her master’s degree to offer communication and team building courses for small companies to help their employees relate to each other better and create more effective productivity.
Deanna moved to Georgia in 2021 and started her practice in Blairsville at the Olive Tree Place on Mondays and Wednesdays, and in Ellijay at the Natural Wellness Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Her websites are:
