Hi! I am Candrea! I want to offer you some background information so that you feel confident about your decision to practice yoga with me. I am an E-RYT. I have earned a 230-hour Yoga Instructor Certification and a specialist 320-hour Restorative Yoga Certification. I was also certified by Sadie Nardini as a Core Strength Vinyasa Instructor. I completed an additional 500 RYT Certification in Advanced Yoga Studies in 2019, emphasizing the ancient doctrines of Yoga, including the roots of the art and science of the practice. The Classics Program is the Jnana Yoga path or Yoga of Knowledge.
I hold an MS in Biology Education and am a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning. I have a deep understanding of human anatomy & physiology supporting my ability to deliver targeted, safe, and effective yoga instruction and guide students through injury recovery.
My continuous goal is to deepen my practice and effectively guide you toward your own yogic potential. I work daily to implement a comprehensive yoga model in my life and on my mat to provide challenging and safe yoga instruction that fosters commitment and builds a strong yoga community.

My Yoga
I have been practicing yoga since 1992. I began as a yoga student in Miami under the tutelage of Bobbie Goldan, a student of B.K.S. Iyengar. I began my journey, like so many others, in pain. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, and to add insult to injury, I was squashed under my husband’s horse in a spectacular accident, leaving her & me with permanent damage. As a once competitive athlete, I was really struggling with my new pain-filled body. As an academic, I struggled with a fugue-filled mind and waded through the nebulous of a once-clear thought process to teach subjects I knew so well. As a human being, I mourned a once vibrant life with a saddened spirit and aching heart. Yoga was my last resort.
