Dress comfortably in clothes that you can move freely in. Wear socks to keep your feet warm and comfy if you wish (but it’s not a requirement). I suggest you bring bottled water. Bolsters and blankets will be provided, however feel free to bring a favorite blanket and/or pillow with you. The most important thing to bring is an open heart and mind.

Restorative yoga is a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching - a completely different experience than most other styles of yoga. It’s a practice of deep and healing restfulness. Targeted yoga poses are held for a longer duration (anywhere from 5-15 minutes) using supportive props like yoga bolsters, blankets, blocks, and straps. The postures are held nearly effortlessly as your body slowly opens, rests, and stretches. During these 90 minute sessions you’ll hardly move at all, doing just a few postures while being mindfully and gently guided by the sound of Asha’s voice and relaxing music.
Restorative yoga is suitable for practitioners of all levels and even for people with no experience at all. Immerse yourself in this one of a kind experience while learning to enjoy the importance of slowing down and embracing the power of rest.
When the body is able to enter a state of true relaxation, the mind can also consciously relax as tension is released from both body and mind. The only work that's required on your part during a restorative yoga practice is to pay attention to your breath and become aware of any sensations or thoughts that may arise. The practice itself will naturally take care of the rest!

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐄 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐐𝐔𝐄?Asha has been specifically trained and certified as both a Restorative Yoga Instructor/Guide as well as a Personal Yoga Therapist - her Restorative Yoga sessions are unique in that she brings in specific therapeutic modalities. Asha uses thoughtful, nurturing “meditative talk-therapy” that doesn’t actually require you to do any external talking, but instead warmly and tenderly invites you into a state of “witnessing” and internal reflection. All you have to do is simply relax into the healing postures as she guides you into a realm of awareness and a deepened state of relaxation. Your mind will gently melt into the moment while your body gently melts into openness and relaxation. The sustained duration of being in each posture allows for quiet reflection, healing, and openness - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Everyone will have their own personal reaction and experience while in the various postures.
Regular practice is highly suggested for maximum benefits - however, you’re still in for a true treat even if you’re only able to attend sessions when it suits your schedule. You’ll learn how to practice restorative postures and mindfulness techniques that you can do at home - tools and techniques that’ll help you off the mat, too!

“Restorative yoga is a wonderful way of accessing deep relaxation; of understanding that sometimes doing nothing (resting in the now) can be one of the most powerful, supporting and healing practices of all. Restorative yoga encourages the body’s innate capacity to heal.”
“Personal Yoga Therapy sessions are beautifully unique one on one experiences designed with individual goals and objectives that are tailored to address the specific physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and wants of the individual. Yoga therapy has proven effective relief for musculoskeletal pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, immune function, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and many other chronic ailments - including anxiety, depression, and grief.”
